Duffy's Brain Teasing Car Rally
Our traditional car rally is back! This used to take place every year with The Ivy as its focal point and was organised by the village’s 90 year old national treasure, Duffy. This year it will be taking place on Saturday 14th June starting from the Amenity Field car park, still under the watchful eye of Duffy.
The entry fee is £5 per head, with under 16’s free and all proceeds going to the Save the Ivy fund. Starting times are every 3 minutes from 15:00hrs until 18:30hrs and you may choose a departure slot between these hours upon registration. The course is expected to take a couple of hours, but this will depend heavily on how quickly you solve the clues! There are prizes for those coming first, second and third. The Tuck Truck will be there for you to purchase freshly cooked Fish & Chips when you arrive back and discuss how or when you went wrong!
It’s been several years since the last car rally, so please come along for an afternoon/evening of brain teasing fun. This will be the 23rd car rally! If you don’t want to participate in the rally, then still join in the fun and enjoy Fish & Chips without having to leave the village.

Normally, we would have a simple sign-up sheet in The Ivy, but because it is closed we now have an online booking form. Please click the button below to open the form and choose a time slot.
Please note: you will need to access the booking form on a desktop computer OR use the Google Sheets app on a mobile or tablet device. What Is the Car Rally and How Does It Work?
Duffy's Brain Teasing Car Rally is a Treasure Hunt event where participants drive around the local area and answer clues along the trail. You will be given a sheet that contains a list of clues and questions, and as you travel you and your passengers will need to keep your eyes peeled to spot the answers. Answers could be the name of a pub, house, or even dates on a grave... but we don't know exactly, so be ready for anything! Teams can be as many people as you can fit in your car.
