DESCRIPTION:Saturday 20 June—Volunteering Tasks\nThis is a provisional date\, weather permitting. We will add the anticipated task list below nearer the time. Please let us know if you are available to help on this date. \nWe’re back to work at The Ivy and would love your help. \nThere’s a wide range of jobs to tackle throughout the day\, listed below\, and the more hands we have\, the more we’ll be able to get done. If you’re able to bring along any of the items listed under required materials\, that would be hugely appreciated. \nThank you in advance for giving your time and support—it will make a real difference. \nRemoval of wallpaper\nFrom back room walls\, along with removal of Rawl plugs\, screws and staples etc. from walls and woodwork \nRequired tools/materials\nWallpaper stripper\, screwdrivers\, pliers\, wire snips and patience: this second layer of wallpaper has been painted over! \nSupplied tools/materials\nHi Viz\, Hard Hat\, Gloves\, Goggles \nRemoval of staples\nFrom upstairs floorboards. \nRequired tools/materials\nWallpaper stripper\, screwdrivers\, pliers\, wire snips and patience—knee pads would also be an advantage. \nSupplied tools/materials\nHi Viz\, Hard Hat\, Gloves\, Goggles \nRemoval of specific wall panelling\nIn the back room. \nRequired tools/materials\nStandard Safety equipment\, screwdriver\, chisel\, hammer or mallet. \nSupplied tools/materials\nHi Viz\, Hard Hat\, Gloves\, Goggles \nRemoval of coving\nNote: working from stepladder\, safety precautions required. \nRequired tools/materials\nWallpaper stripper tool to prise off from wall. \nSupplied tools/materials\nGloves\, Goggles \nRemoval and discarding of carpet\nFrom dartboard area of bar. \nRequired tools/materials\nScrewdrivers. \nSupplied tools/materials\nGloves \nRemoval of fireplace flue register plate\nNote: THREE person job if able. \nRequired tools/materials\nScrewdrivers\, Torch. \nSupplied tools/materials\nGloves\, Goggles\, Hard Hat \nTask co-ordinator(s)\nTBC \nTimings\n9:00am: If you have not previously read\, understood and signed the Friends of The Ivy Health and Safety policy\, please arrive for the Health and Safety briefing at 9:00am. \n9:30am: Arrive at the main site entrance at The Ivy to be signed in and granted access. \nPPE Requirements\nYou will be required to wear the following personal protective equipment for these tasks. Any items in bold you will need to provide yourself\, all other items will be provided by Friends of The Ivy Limited: \n\nHi-Viz jacket\nSafety Helmet\nStout footwear\n\nPLEASE NOTE:\nCaution when moving outside\, digging machinery may be in action. \n\nSIGN UP HERE to volunteer for tasks\n \nWhen signing up to help\, please also state what tools and materials you would be able to bring along from the list against each task.
